What is FLA?
The Fair Labor Association (FLA) is an international network of companies, universities, and civil society organizations collaborating to ensure that millions of people working at the world's factories and farms are paid fairly and protected from risks to their health, safety, and well-being.
Why is FLA important?
FLA is dedicated to improving workers' rights worldwide through transparent monitoring, fair labor practices, and accountability in global supply chains. It was established to address labor violations and to promote adherence to international labor standards.
How did BELLA+CANVAS earn accreditation?
We began our journey with FLA at the end of 2019 and have completed 4 milestones between 2021-2024 to receive our accreditation. By upgrading our policies, procedures, and actions to align with the FLA Workplace Code of Conduct and the FLA Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing and Responsible Production, BELLA+CANVAS will drive better working conditions in factories, better livelihoods for workers, and better products for our customers.
What's next for BELLA+CANVAS?
Our work to attain Fair Labor Accreditation means that we are a part of a global movement to protect millions of workers at every link of international supply chains, and accreditation signifies we will continue to establish processes and practices that work to identify, prevent, and remediate workplace abuse.
